Research at CPCC is
funded by CPCC members Broadcom Corp., Conexant Systems, Inc.,
Mindspeed Technologies, Inc., and Skyworks Solutions Inc. Since Fall
2004, CPCC research is conducted via 1-year research projects
supporting a graduate student, chosen from a list of proposals
submitted by UC Irvine faculty affiliated with CPCC. The selection
is made by the CPCC director after consultation with the member
companies. Each quarter every research project provides a progress
report which are compiled by the CPCC and sent to the member
companies.
All research at the
CPCC is public domain. CPCC progress reports are made public at this
web site after a 3-quarter delay to give member companies a chance
to determine intellectual property value of the sponsored research
and students and faculty a chance to complete publication of their
work.
